Amidst a time where travel wasn’t an option for most, we wanted our online shopping experience to be reflective of what our customers felt when they step foot into our stores. Our customers constantly tell us that our interior makes them feel at home, both beautiful and comfortable. So we set out on a creative journey to tell that story, through renovating our flagship store, overhauling our website and specifically playing with tone and texture with our photography on our website.
Building on that beauty, we opened our doors to our second store in Bali in late December. Resting on the breath-taking Bukit peninsula, Cove. Bingin exudes relaxed seaside vibes, with a touch of retro cool, making it the perfect addition to the laidback, stylish surf town that Bingin is. When it came to re-imagining the Cove brand, we wanted it to reflect our values and embody the relaxed island living feeling and the low key luxury vibe that Cove. is known for.
We collaborated with designer Ilka Newton, (a long time friend and Cove. lover), to conceptualise the new Cove. look and feel. Looking to nature and the always inspiring Bali landscape, she took cues from the organic shapes and fluidity of the coastline to create the logo.
With its distinct bold lettering, it radiates a buttery softness, featuring organic curves that resemble a natural ‘cove’ within the letter C. Cove.’s main brandmark has been simplified and made more punchy, with the use of a full stop.
Our colour palette draws inspiration from sandy beaches, the golden sun and violet toned twilights, with muted shades of green from the jungle and forest. Textures from rocky cliffs and earthy pottery.
